🥋 Club Grading Information – Please Read Carefully

📍 Manchester Club Grading

Important: Visitors are not permitted on the MHSG site before 6:00 pm due to the school’s Child Protection Policies.
Anyone arriving before 6:00 pm will be asked to leave the premises.

🗓️ Grading Details

Date: Monday 22nd June 2026
Venue: Dance Studio, Manchester High School for Girls, Grangethorpe Road, M14 6HS
Examiner: Grand Master Kenny Walton – 9th Degree Black Belt
Arrival:
  • Doors open at 6:10 pm for warm-up and questions
  • Please arrive on time, but not before 6:00 pm and no later than 6.20pm
Start Time: Approximately 6:30 – 6:45 pm

🧾 Eligibility & Fees
Not all students will be eligible to grade. Eligibility is based on:
  • Minimum attendance requirements
  • Instructor approval
  • Training consistency and performance
  • Rank (Blue Belts and above have specific criteria – see your licence booklet)
You will be personally informed if you are eligible to grade.

Grading Fee: £32
  • Payable once eligibility is confirmed.
  • All grading payments payable to Mr Michael O'Reilly only.
Payment Deadline:
  • From Tuesday 9th June
  • Strict deadline: Tuesday 16th June
  • Use reference: TKD Grading / [Your Name]
Note: All Taekwondo and grading fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason.

🧍‍♂️ On the Day
​When arriving:
  • Arrive on time to warm yourself up and prepare for questions.
  • The grading register will be taken in the studio before the grading commences - MTW students only.​
  • Enter quietly – students may already be in the middle of their grading.

👩‍👦 Parents & New Students
  • Parents: Please speak to me in class for a discussion on your child’s progress.
  • First-time grading? See me in class for guidance and check the Members Page (Gradings/Revision section) on our website.
  • If you can’t attend this grading, you may be able to join another club or area grading – subject to availability.
